Web3 Research Internships

Acumen Research Labs is recruiting interns in the areas of Web3 for the role of Junior Research Consultant.

Acumen Research Labs is dedicated to research with a purpose focusing on Web3 technologies.  Our activity focuses on national and international clients, creating value for their operations through detailed research on a variety of topics.

Junior Researchers will be expected to display high levels of analytical capability, collaboration, creative contribution, as well as administrative efficiency.  A Junior Researcher will need to be willing to develop in-depth knowledge of the technologies, vendors, policies and business requirements of a variety of Web3 technologies.  The position requires experience in solving user organization problems and a relevant degree – the post is ideally suited for someone who has recently completed – or is completing – a Master’s degree.  For the correct candidate, it may be aligned to a Master’s Thesis if required.

Main functions and responsibilities:

Collection and processing of data from clients and the market

  • Survey of prospective opportunities and clients
  • Analysis of existing research, preparation of state of the art and gap analyses for clients
  • Co-development of cutting-edge recommendations based on research gaps identified
  • Cooperation in the production of research, reports and project presentations.

Profile of candidates:

  • Responsible for curating a body of research and analysis, communicating it to clients, and responding to follow-up inquiries relating to the research/topic
  • Supporting the Sales organization in selling and retaining Acumen Research Labs’ services
  • Define and conduct ongoing research and analysis either in specific or multiple areas of expertise related to ICT
  • Perform research by reading, networking with clients, industry contacts, vendors and analysts, evaluating and analyzing information
  • Participate in Research meetings or other activities that comprise the research process as well as through interviews, surveys, and reviews or statistical analysis
  • Create specified high-volume written documentation of research in fulfillment of Acumen Research Labs’ commitment to clients
  • Respond to client inquiries as required
  • Define, lead, and conduct client presentations
  • Provide individualized consulting for clients regarding Acumen research or provide advice to a user vendor client
  • Provide sales support by speaking to prospective and existing clients by telephone, face-to-face sales calls
  • Oral and written fluency in English and Portuguese.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant subject
  • Master’s degree highly desirable
  • Experience in Information Technology (preferred).
  • Applicable experience in area(s) of expertise.
  • Demonstrated ability to piece together diverse sets of information, apply conceptual models, recognize patterns and draw and defend conclusions

Conditions: 9-month internship with team integration potential at the end of the internship.
